SMGP-2855 Early Hunting Cutlass by Eichhorn

This cutlass had some oxidation on the blade and it was restored somewhat. It’s a plain blade with no extra cost upgrades. New, it would have had a polished blade. However, the restoration has left it with a fine matte finish. It could be further restored to take the rest of the oxidation marks out and repolish it if you were so inclined. I think it looks pretty good as it is though. The solid brass hilt and guard are in great shape, showing typical age and brass oxidation in spots. A bit of polishing compound can be seen in some spots. The acorns are firmly attached. The leather scabbard is dent and kink free and shows some typical wear marks. The frog is worn at the top to the point of failure but i think it’s just a k98 frog so you can get rid of it if you like. A nice solid piece!
