SMGM-4108 Numbers Matching K98 Luftwaffe Bayonet

A very fine bayonet here with lots of bells and whistles. The Horster marked blade retains most of it’s original bluing with some water spots and a slightly blunted tip. That would be the only negative on the piece but not distracting in my opinion. The blade and scabbard are numbered 3148. The hilt and grip panels show only minor wear. The scabbard is dent free with some minor oxidation. The Luftwaffe brown frog is in fantastic condition with a marking of II./K.G.254. under that there is stamp that looks like “IPA (s)” In between the rivets is what looks like the maker name and date of 1937 but it is very hard to make out. A fantastic and harder to find combo here!
