SMGO-0363 1st model Luftwaffe Dagger by WMW Waffen

Well, the biggest issue with this dagger is the Scabbard was redone with a leather that is too dark. Black basically. I know why. The person doing the restoration was trying to match the deeply aged grip, which has turned a super dark navy. So, it’s a little odd looking but i suppose it’s better than a bare rusty shell. The upper scabbard fitting had some oxidation that was removed but the scared metal remains. The scabbard fittings are steel and the dagger fittings are a zinc based pot metal. As far as these zinc daggers go, the guard and pommel look pretty good, though worn. The grip leather is very worn but all intact. The scabbard chain is the aluminum type which we often see on these zinc daggers. The blade is a fine condition, being nickel plated. There is some light edge wear and runner marks, but really nice overall. This dagger won’t win any awards, but it’s priced to move and is a great option if you are on a budget.
