Description

A fantastic tripple etched blade on this beautiful Lion’s head sword! The Clemen & Jung log can just barely be made out under the langet. The full brass hilt looks great and both red eyes are in good order. The guard is monogramed with what looks like HW. The grip wire is nice and tight around the ray skin. The ray skin has a little wear on one side but nothing to crazy. the 30 inch blade is etched with leaves on the spine, a floral pattern with flag trumpet, and sword design on one side. The other side has a floral patter with a center panel that reads “Zum Silbernen Dienstjubilnum und Bedforderung Polizei Hauptmann Gewidmet n.d. beamten des 15 Polizei reviers 1926-1927”. Which is basically, congrats on your 25 year service from your buddies at the 15th police precinct. The etching is mint with no oxidation or condition problems. Common runner wear going to the tip and no nicks on the blade. The scabbard is dent free with some light oxidation. This bad boy has pretty much all the extras! Lions head, ray skin grip, Monogramed, tripped etched, custom dedication and a date so there is no guess work when it was made!  A fantastic sword that a police collector would cherish!
