SMGO-0336 Luftwaffe Sword by Helbig

These Swords are my favorite design of the era and really stand out from the more traditional German designs. This one has all aluminum fittings and the anodized swastikas still look fantastic! the leather on the scabbard is in excellent condition. Scabbard leather is usually the first thing to get messed up on these and it’s a pressure to find one with only some light wear. The grips shows more moderate wear but not down to the wood base so this can be touched up with some blue leather dye if desired. The leather hanger is still in good shape which is also a problem area for these swords and is often damaged or missing. The chrome blade is 30.5 inches and is in excellent condition with some light runner and edge wear. The lightly etched Helbig logo is still present and has an inspector stamp just above it. a great sword overall that is sure to please!
