SMGO-0221 red Waffen-SS Handschar division fez

This fez is in nice condition. The insignia looks great, and the wool shows only a little bit of moth tracking at the top looking down. The thread holding the tassel post has popped off a bit which is common as the men would force the vertical piece of wool down in order for the tassel to lay over the side of the hat. The tassel has been relocated down the side of the post for the same reason. You can actually find black thread on the back when the tassel was sewn in place to keep it from flopping around. It is labeled size 55. The leather inside is in great shape and is still soft and pliable.
