SMGQ-0478 WW1 77th Division Brodie Helmet (new york)

A nice example with ta lightly textured finish and a 77th statue of liberty insignia on the front. Actually, since these were symmetrical, it looks like the insignia was put on the back by mistake, as we can see the seam weld and the maker stamping on the same side. This one is marked ES 165 and is a true 1915 British made helmet. The insignia has some wear to it but seems to be in good shape and is not flaking off and will stay as is if stored with average care. The helmet is dent free outside of the little divot from the top rivet.  A nice piece and a must have for any new yorker!
