SMGO-0231 1936 Chained SS W/ Type 2 chain and anodized Scabbard

The scabbard on this dagger has an anodized finish that has mostly worn off. It has worn in an attractive way, however. The chain is a type 2 with the filled in circle on the clevis. There is no spring on the clip. The fittings are all nickel, from the guard to the chain to the scabbard mounts. The ball tip on the scabbard looks good but does have a dent in the very bottom. The grip on this dagger is a stand out, having no cracks or chips! The nickel eagle and ss roundel look great and have not been messed with! The grip to guard fittment is fantastic with some minor gaps from wood shrinking. The blade is the correct plain version with no maker mark. The blade condition is good but not mint. There appears to have been some oxidation that was cleaned up a long time ago. The blade has a hazy look to it as a result. You have to take the good with the bad on this dagger. Eitherway, a rare piece that is worry free.
